I believe that Vitality also affects regen for health, end, and energy.

More vit means more heals yes, did notice a difference with a temparal vit buff.

Only the vitality of the healer affects the size of the heal, so it's really needed for a healer. The vitality of the recipient has no effect.

This also grants bonuses to health regen, energy regen, and unmounted run speed.

http://forums.vanguardsoh.com/showthread.php?postid=1856795 has a bit of info, unfortunateyl the stat info is out of date, as it has been updated within the last patch or two...

I made a quick test with the beta buffer (made this post myself somewhere else as well) (to lvl 35!!)

I wanted to know what vit did on heals, and used the betabuffers for that.

I made a Raaki and a Qaliathari Disp and checked their vit and heals from 5 spells, 2 single heals, 1 hot, 1 group and 1 special. (Disciple's has atleast 1 grouphot as well, but didn't take all).

The qal had 191 vit, raaki 217 (points were auto-assigned)

With vitgear my raaki had 277 vit, used all this info to see how much more vit.

Edit part (explained it better)

Each colour means something else.

First I show the amount of vit I had, and how much each heal was (I used an abriviation and not the full name, but that in the end doesn't matter much) (this is the green/yellow area)

Total is all the heals together.

2ndpart=how much more vit does the raaki has more than the qal.
26 is without gear, 86 is with gear. (both 217 and 277 -191)
Orange here is the pure the same based on the 191 heals (ea 2142 and 2240- 2083)

pinkish is still added up from above.

blueisch now
26 vit gives the first heal 56 bones heal, that is 2,27 healbonus per vit, while 86 vit does 1,83 bonusheal per vit
red is stil added up

finaly %wise
2240/2083=1.07537 wich I conveted in % wich is 7,54%
grey here is the average %.

Well I don't understand much of that, but I understand enough to see that VIT actually has a significant effect on heals.

I love that the developers are making a variety of stats important to certain classes. Finally something to thwart the "if you're not a certain race for a certain class, you're anoob" elitist. I can play a mage and look like a male (i.e. not play a stupid elf) sign me up!
Meanwhile I'm sure the elitists will find something else to pidgeonhole everyone.

Unsure what part you don't understand and why, but I'm willingly to try to explain more, if you say what's wrong.

The table is just laid out really badly and the explanation is poor. Basically all you need to know is vit increases the amount you heal for with diminishing returns. The more vit you have, the less each subsequent point will increase the amount you heal for.

I see Vitality being the most important stat for healers now that we know there is a definite effect on healing. It's going to be neat to see the weird combinations of equipment people have. Getting the most out of your VIT while maintaining a nice level of mana and stuffs will be an incredible feat to balance.

The orange area, says how much the heal increases per x vit (green above it ea 26/86)

and the (lightblue/teal) area is how much more heals you get per 1 vit this is still based at 26/86vit. (you can ignore the red)

Darkblue is the total healincrease in %

So the lightblue shows demishing returns the best, but you can already see something in the orange area as well.

I tried to make a small adjustmend about the window, showed below:
