How do you get the Headstart?

So lets say you walk into your local gamestore and preorder Vanguard.

You go back on the 30th to pick up the game.


What do you do to get into the headtsart?

I know for those of us who ordered online, we'll get an email with instructions on where to download plus a headstart key - but what about those who bought in person?


About half my guild bought in person and didn not receive a preorder box - what are they supposed to do?

They were supposed to get a pre-order box. I would tounce back down to the store they bought the game from, show them my proof of purchase, and kick some Game-Stop employee ass.

Is it just me, or do these guys at Gamestop and Eb games never know what the hell they are doing, and yet, god forbid, like to come off as opinionated as possible. As though they know the gaming industry inside and out just because they sell video games and have a subscription to IGN. Some guy tried to convince me that I was committed some sort of Treason (capitol T, mind you) when I purchased my Ps3, insisting that if I were "a smart shopper" I'd stick with the X-box 360 or a Wii. I was highly amused and made some sort of snarky comment that cemented the "thanks for the useless advice" vibe my eyes were trying to bore into his brain with a most baleful glare. Anyway, /endrant.

I know a few of the people in my guild didn't get a box because the stores were out. One guy went to EB and they said they'd only had 6 boxes to begin with.

I told him to call EB customer support and stir up some fire.

Its simple.

You get the preorder box (EB/GS/ retail or online)= contains both keys

You buy from SOE= your account is auto flagged

You buy from D2D= The key they send you is both Beta AND 3 day.
