I plan to play a Disciple, and wanted to figure out which class to play. Before I was able to weigh in if the Goblin was worth it, I decided to play around with the buff masters and see how vitality affects my heals, as well as other stats.

The below charts show the results of that information gathering.
The classes used were Orc (0 Bonus), Merbedi Human (+1 Bonus), Raki (+2 bonus) and Goblin (+3). In the second and third part of the chart the 0,1,2,3 is refering to racial bonus.

As you can see, Health regen, Energy Regen, and amount speed keep very close to eachother for increase. The only think seeming to keep them form being 100% equall in the increases is rounding.

The healing ont he other hand is by no means a standard increase, and as such you can see a break down by the increase that each +1 gives from the previous, and the last chart is a break down of the total increase of +2 and +3 when compared to +0.

Hope this helps some of you make your race choices... It hasn't helped me yet, but at least it gives me a basis for which to make the decision, than a leap of faith.

My apologies for the horrible formatting, but the forums like killing extra spaces, which means it's an absolute pain to get it to get them to line up.

If you can't make it out you can check this listing by going to http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.aspx?GuildID=144957&TabID=1231359 and clikcing on disciple heals on the left hand side.

use periods instead of spaces to preserve spacing. works wonders.

I might be retarded, but that chart doesn't make even the slightest bit of sense to me.

Just an FYI... VIT is currently broke on disciples... it may or may not be fixed at release.

In the end I don't think race will matter that much. Not nearly as much as your skill as a player.

In the end I don't think race will matter that much. Not nearly as much as your skill as a player.

This is the only thing that actually matters. Player skill is so much more important than anything else in any game. Sure, you might be geared-more towards long battles, but if you pull agro just once, all that extra stuff is wasted.

My cousins and I made a trio in WoW (Yes I know it's a bad example, but follow along). We just made whatever character we wanted to play and went with it. The group was Priest, Hunter, Rogue. We cleared every single dungeon without hitch all the way to our 40's. After that we quit because of how easy and boring it was.

The three of us were taking out dungeons way before they should have been taken out. The three of us did the Cath when everything was two levels higher than us and cleared it without dieng once. We also did this on a brand new server to boot.

So it really goes to show how much player skill matters. I remember well balanced groups dieng insanely fast there with my Warrior. Well equiped too.

So far I'm seeing the same in other games like EQ and UO. Going back and playing them for a short period of time has really shown me that player skill matters much more than race, equipment, or abilities.
