Help Can't Play With Audio On??????

Hi guys I need help with this game or I just can't play it,I can play EQ2 and WoW just fine but when I try and play this game I have this prob, If I have audio on my fps drops down to 1.0-3.0 and I am unable to play like that. Ok I lowed everything and still have a low fps, so then I try to turn off the Audio and when I did my fps went up t0 11-16 fps. Can someone tell me whats going on? Am I only going to be able to play this game with no sound??? :( Help Plzzz.:cry:

Well, you could just get a better sound card. The Sound Blaster XFI series doesn't seem to suffer this way, for one. There have got to be others, and sound cards are relatively cheap if you don't need pro audio capacity.

Are you using your motherboards onboard sound? If so, that is your problem. Your processor is trying to do 2 jobs at once. Get a PCI sound card ( you can find them for under $20) and install that. Then your FPS will increase.
