So I have this Vulmane Ranger on Varking (a team PvP server) that I’ve leveled up to 11 in Outfitting only to find that the trainers on Qalia won’t train my toon. I can speak with them, travel to practically any village/city on Qalia without any of the NPCs wanting to kill me, trade with NPCs but I can’t learn any Outfitting skills from Outfitter trainers. One of my friends rolled an Orc Blacksmith, leveled to 10 in Khal and found that he couldn’t learn any skills either as the trainers wouldn’t teach him. Both of us completed the level 10 quests given to us by the crafting trainers in Qalia but when given the quest to find our apprentice trainer there are more problems. For the Blacksmith his trainer is back on his starting continent in a good sided city (to which the evil side can’t gain friendly faction for to enter) thus preventing him from advancing in crafting skills. My Outfitter was told that the apprentice trainer was on Qalia, I could speak with her but cannot obtain quests nor training from her.

In an attempt to resolve this issue I returned back to my native continent where I found that I could gain skills from Outfitter trainers in the main porting city for Thestra. After level 10 Outfitter I recalled back to Qalia where I continued to complete work orders (leveling to 11) until I noticed that the Outfitter in Dark Elf starting city offered a quest to choose my specialization. Upon completing this order I was told that my toon is now locked in to the selected field and was to gain new skills (didn’t happen) and still the Outfitter trainer will not teach any new skills to my Vulmane. Thinking that maybe I need to go back to my starting continent I ventured back only to find that now since I’ve completed the Outfitter specialization and talked to the apprentice trainer for Qalia that no Outfitter trainer in Thestra will teach me (including the one that I was able to obtain levels 1-10 in outfitting). Currently my toon is one without a country who will train him skills in crafting as no crafting trainer will teach him.

Now from the information that we’ve gathered by speaking with others and research Thestra and the middle continent are supposed to be aligned to the good factions while Qalia is aligned for the evil side. For Orcs, Khal (porting city of Qalia) is aligned with the good faction and guards will attack several of the evil races. Vulmanes are one, if not the only, evil race that starts on Thestra to which can interact with most NPC villages/cities except the High Elf city. Additionally, diplomacy doesn’t seem to help raise faction for certain areas in other continents (i.e. in the Dark Elf starting city) when trying to obtain good faction as an attempt to resolve the main issue of not being able to learn crafting skills from Qalia trainers.

After one of the server restarts this past weekend there was a discussion about team PvP servers having major issues based upon sides in eastern quallia’s chat. Interestingly enough (and depending on how much was just misinformation) it seems that if you select an evil race that does not start in Qalia you must always return back to your starting continent in order to train. Additionally, many cities/villages on Qalia are neutral to good aligned races but hostile towards the evil side which is upsetting since Qalia is suppose to be the evil continent.

Unless I've overlooked something I'll assume this is a bug with the server ruleset and that eventually it'll get fixed as will many other issues with the game when pertaining to team PvP.
