Hello,

I keep getting these "these may be of value to a merchant" items (my banks full of them now), but when I take them to a merchant they sell for maybe 1c, although some are 0c.

Is there a special broker who will want to buy these, as 1c isnt what I would describe as valuable :)

I'm in CB (Kojan).

Thanks in advance!

Well I'm assuming your diplomacy skill is fairly low, so they won't sell for much right now. After I build up a few stacks, I can usually sell a stack for about 90c or so. I have a feeling the rewards get better as you get higher in diplomacy skill.

Thanks for the reply. I heard someone in game saying there should be "diplomacy merchants" who would pay more for these items, but they didnt say where they were. Is this something that someone has misunderstood or have I just not found them?

There are brokers for these. Search around, talk to everyone and you will find them. I found one last night but he wouldn't give me anything just told me he was interested if I had info. I heard you need 10 or so of them for them to accept them.

I think those NPC's are for buying "information" which is different from the random vendor trash you get from the quests.

The "this is valuable to a merchant" text is to prevent people from spamming channels with "OMG, I GOT A CHIPPED RUBY, SELLING TO TRADESKILLER FOR 10 GOLD!". It lets you know straight up that the item is useless beyond merchant fodder.
