Just a tip, make sure you don't have a full inventory when doing some of the diplomacy quests.

I made that mistake on the newbie quest in Dahknarg where you have to parley with 5 people, then convince another (Elanie) to let you see her boss.

Two of the 5 NPC's give items (a token and a cape I think) that you have to have on you before Elanie will parley with you.

My inventory was full and I didn't have the token, so I had to abandon and restart the quest after freeing up some inventory space. Took me a while to figure out what the problem was. :o

This happened to me once. Even though you didn't have any inventory space the items are actually still there, just not accessible. I petitioned after clearing out some space and relogging and still not finding the items I was supposed to have. The GM had me do a few commands (like /inventory or something to get a list of all the stuff on me, I can't remember for sure) to verify the items were there but just hidden and then had me do another command to get them from wherever they were hidden (like /equipitem "insertitemnamehere"). It worked, I got my stuff back ok.

So if this happens to you, do not fear, the items are actually there. Just /petition and a GM can help. I wish I'd written the exact commands down now, they might come in handy later. Hopefully I'll keep a few open bag spaces now though.

That's good to know. Fortunately, the quest I had to re-do wasn't too long.
