Computer Specs:
Pentium 4 3.2GHz
X1900XT
2GB DDR2 533
Seagate(I think) 160GB 7200RPM
When I run 3Dmark05 I'm getting a score around 7100, but when I look at revews on the X1900XT, they recieve scores around 9.8k. I don't understand what my problem is. I know my CPU isn't the fastest, but it should not bottleneck my GPU by 2000+ points... Could someone help me determine what the problem is?
I have Catalyst 7.1 Drivers, DirectX9.0c.
I'm just trying to run Vanguard the best I can, and my performance in it isnt that great either. Balanced 1280x1024 25-35 in the open, 12-20 in cities.

Hmmm..I am not too familiar with ATI cards but I believe 3Dmark05 has rather "sensitive" scoring, meaning what should be small FPS gains in games, grant a lot of points.
I am not claiming to know this for fact...but I can assume that those guys with the higher ratings are overclocking the heck out of it?
I frequent the EVGA forums a lot and its pretty amazing how many points people have gotten with the card I have by overclocking it to the point of meltdown and then liquid cooling it.
Just a thought..

But I'm just comparing my scores to scores the card should be getting... like from sites reviewing the X1900XT.

oh..I wasnt sure where you got those numbers from. I dont really know unfortunately...
Did you try the online comparison in 3DMark to see what others with the same processor were getting?
Not really sure what else...too much of your system I am not familiar with.
