Heya,This may seem like a dumb question but is there any programs out there that you can get for free that you can run on your desktop to watch the temp and performance of your graphic card?

Temp but not preformance.Though you could run 3dmark06 every once in a while to bench it.

The card is a EVGA 8800 gts
I downloaded the nvidia monitor which has a temp reader? but when i run it its shows the gpu at 124 degrees farenheit i about fell over this cant be right as i had just turned on the system... I also tried it last night after a full night of vanguard and it read the same temp so i think the nvidia monitor is not working right...ifit is im in trouble :cry: this is a new build only had it running about 3 days now but i can tell you its cold as ice inside the system so i think the moitor is wrong.At any rate im kinda worried about this.
Also i have never ran any kind of program to monitor temps and honestly dont know what im doing.So if anyone can explain how to use a good program i would be most grateful.

I am interested in getting an 8800 gts card and wanted to know what you thought of yours? Why did you choose that brand over others out there?
I currently have a 7800gt and haven't really had to monitor temps at all (although perhaps i should be). Anyway, this is an aside and I apologize for getting off topic a bit but how do you like your card and how does it run with VG?
