Just a bit curious as to the PvP stengths out there of the different offensive fighters and how they compare to each other and also how they compare to the arcane casters? I'm hoping to begin playing in a week or so and plan on rolling on the FFA PvP server. I'm looking for a class that's fun in both PvE and PvP...
Ranger:
Overall experience in the PvP world? Over/underpowered?
Easiest classes to take out?
Most difficult classes to face?
Are the pets very effective?
Any snares/stuns?
How does the range dps compare to the melee?
Healing very effective?
Bard:
Overall experience in the PvP world? Over/underpowered?
Easiest classes to take out?
Most difficult classes to face?
Any snares/stuns?
Most useful songs and the abilities they have?
Overall fun factor on a scale of 1-10?
Monk:
Overall experience in the PvP world? Over/underpowered?
Easiest classes to take out?
Most difficult classes to face?
DPS compared to the other classes?
Utility compared to the other classes?
Rogue:
Overall experience in the PvP world? Over/underpowered?
Easiest classes to take out?
Most difficult classes to face?
Stealth very effective/enjoyable?
Please list all your thoughts and impressions so far. Also, I know classes can be a bit imbalanced at the lower levels and so anyone with input that a bit higher in level would be much appreciated. Thanks and can't wait to join everyone!

Overall experience in the PvP world? Over/underpowered? i think im pretty decent, can hold my own against most non healing classes or chain rooters..
Easiest classes to take out?
hmm... This is probably rogues, almost managed to take out 2 even leveld rogues today without selfheal
Most difficult classes to face?
Any healing class, psion and some dark knights
DPS compared to the other classes?
Never really grouped with another dps class =p
Utility compared to the other classes?
Only got one so far, the blink behind a target ability(which dark knights have too)
Fun
10/10 :P
Lvl: 11 almost 12
gear: pretty awesome for my level..

I'm a ranger lvl 15, good equiped, really good daggers and bow (lvl 18 blue dagger mainhand, lvl 12 yellow dagger offhand, lvl 18 blue bow)
Overall experience in the PvP world? Over/underpowered?
Easiest classes to take out?
I'd say rogues as well, didn't fight monks yet, think they could be easy as well
Most difficult classes to face?
"Any healing class, psion and some dark knights" quote Vioche ;) 100% agree, these are the hardest opponents, almost no chance against them.
Warriors are really hard as well, when they wear 2handers. Didn't fight paladins yet, as I play OoA side.
Sorcerers can outdamage me by far, but I can take them down when attacking out of stealth and bow chain with activated ferocity lands (critical shot, dawn arrow) and if thy don't notice me quickly. Otherwise I'm a dead ranger.
DPS compared to the other classes?
Can only tell my own experience (played rogue 10, monk 8, bard 14 in beta):
When going melee, they are about even if not better... ranger's advantage are ranged attacks (out of combat chain at my current level, in combat our ranged damage sucks... maybe better with higher level)
Utility compared to the other classes?
I think rangers have much utility... wanted to play bard at release as I did think they'd have the most utility, but things changed
Fun
yes fun... besides endurance management... looking at that green bar ticking slowly is no fun... its empty after 3 styles... and then you remind yourself that a sorcerer (example) can easily chain pull mobs with his huge mana pool... but thats an other issue
/edit: think offensive fighters are generally a bit underpowered concerning pvp... imagine a light melee fighter attacking a sorcerer that throws AoE and instant spells at him... it's over within 6 seconds. They cant do much against defensive fighters and healing classes either.

Me as a ranger at least has a snare (lowers movement by 30%), and it really helps.
Had a few fights against clerics and shamans today... I just cant take them down. Impossible. Shot about 30 or more arrows at each of them (plenty crits and finishersincluded). All they need to do is throwing a heal or a damage spell here and there to finish me.
Disciples I already told, they kill me and leave fight with full health.
I used a blue bow 4 levels higher than me, crafted arrows. Attacking out of stealth from max range (40m) with ferocity activated. Equipment really good (mostly blue items, over 80% equip expertise used). I do everything I can do, but they kill me half afk and running around in random gear. Sorry for whining, I'm really frustrated...
And why did they give sorcerers invisibility AND see invisibility (conjured ring) ?
I have sneak/hide/detection maxed out, but an even lvl sorcerer pops me out of stealth from 10-15m range and nukes me. I didn't even see him. And he moves at 100% while invis!
P.S. I can kill bloodmages when they are afk
(but then I'm out of endurance and need to regen end for 10 sec... no standard ranged attack allowed :o )

Most games I've played seem to give casters the advantage early on, but things generally even out in the long run. The melee classes usually catch up and surpass casters once they get the better gear at higher levels. Looks like this game is no different. It'd be nice if a game could figure that balance out from the beginning and keep classes more evenly matched throughout the entire life of the game.
I tend to prefer playing caster classes so I usually have the fun early on but at end game I get worked. I love it when I game is able to have a balanced system of checks and balances. It's still early for Vanguard, so who knows...
