Raising Weapons skills and Warrior PvP

So I have been dual wielding up until level 14 now and I fully accept that on a PvP server (Frengrot) as a warrior I am asking to get kited and owned.

I decided to give a two handed weapons a try (since the only way I am going to take someone out in PvP is through huge hits of abilities and chains) and slapped on a greataxe.

(My dual wield weapons are a nightscarred mace 10.4 dps mh, sharptooth blade 7.7 dps offhand) The greataxe is a giants great axe 14.4 dps and +118hp

I am having a hell of a time raising the two hand and great axe skills, so I am looking for fellow warriors tips and also wondering if anyone else has gone with 2h over DW for pvp/solo It seems that your abilities hit so much harder that a leap attack+ kick+ devastating blow, brutal strike yada yada hits a lot harder and is more likely to kill the mob outright.

I am a DRK and I used a 2hander up through level 20 even while tanking. Partly because my shield sucked and partly because I had a great 2hander. At 21 an awesome 1hander dropped for me so I attempted to use it.

At the time I had a warrior in my group and asked if he would out right tank while I raised my 1hander skill. If aggro ever broke I equiped my 2hander and grabbed it. It worked out well and I spent 2 whole nights doing this for about a total of 8 hours. In that time I made it about half way through my 1hander skill up. :rolleyes:

They really need to tweak the weapon skill up.

Im up to 40ish skill in about 2,5 hours of attacking mobs in defensive stance to get more hits in (lvl 12's cant do it reliably on lvl 14's) and cap is 130ish at lvl 14

Lol, theres a bug that allows you to reach max level in your weapon in minutes. Dunno if bugs should be spread around for general abusage though so I won't tell :D I already bug reported it but i doubt its gonna change anytime soon.

I used my axe to take a dungeon last night as abilities seem to hit with greater accuracy but still trigger skillups. Great Axe is capped and Two Hand Slash is getting there

Note that there is NO skill for Great spears. They cannot be skilled up!! There is only "Javelines and spears", and that category is for one handed spears. Using Great Spear wont increase it.

Actually, the more people abuse it, the faster it will get fixed. So be sure to post it.;)

I actually think it got fixed guys. But as a warrior all you had to do was spam-toggle power attack for your weaponskill to increase.
