View Full Version : Dread Knight: Frighten Bug?

Didnt see a recent post on this but just checking to see if this is a bug with the ability or just something with the specific enounter.

Does Frighten I actually work? I can cast it, and the enemies appear to run off, but then I immediately die..lol. Nothing even seems to hit me...just cast (guys go running) then BAM!! I am in the dirt.

Very scientific proof you are wrong (kidding)

I tried it once before the server crash last night. It worked fine.

Obviously your computer is gimp, your drivers aren't up to date and you kick puppies on your way to work.

(Have I spent too much time on VN boards?)

It must be the puppies...dang!! I think its the encounter itself, good to know..I will try it again some more tonight...I never liked fear spells that much unless it was an emergency so I dont use it much...just the two times I did last night didnt end so well!

I am able to fear mobs and they run around a bit... I use that frequently to "mez" an extra enemy when I get 2. They do sometimes run to their "friends" and pull a train but thats why you dont use it in tight quarters.

Are you fighting spellcasting mobs? I've found that fear doesn't interrupt spells at all, which is absolutely stupid. So, if the mob is casting a huge nuke thats going to melt you, and you "interrupt" it with fear, the spell will still cast, and still put you in the dirt.

I used Fear yesterday to pull in a dungeon. Worked very well.

Fear pulling on unaggrod mobs is fun, works really well too.
