After pvp I like to read the combat tab and evaluate what happened. When I look at it, it appears that my attacks (I'm a ranger btw) are being made by my opponent and doing damage to me while their attacks are being made by them and doing damage to me.

For example when fighting a monk I use blade of winter 2. I see the following in my combat tab. For reasons of simplicity my opponent will be referred to as enemy.

Enemy hits you with blade of winter II for 69 damage.

Enemy hits you with (whatever attack they have) for X damage.

Enemy hits you with blade of summer II for 72 damage.

etc...

I know this is probably just an error with the display but I have considered the possibility that in pvp I may be inflicting damage to myself. Sometimes I drop so quickly in a battle and their health doesn't appear to move at all (the health display bug or not???) that I question the whole event.

iIs this happening to anyone else?

I have never seen it but I know some classes have abilities that will completely absorb your attack and do something like 50% damage back to you for a couple of hits before it wears off.
