Hey fellow monks, what is your strategy for this technique? It only works for me some of the time, I'd like to know how exactly you guys do it. Please write out your strategy for splitting mobs with FD.

1. Tag mob.
2. mob and friends run towards you
3. FD
4. wait for one or more to path back to where they were
5. repeat as needed
6. bring the mob that you want

Use 3rd person view to move the camera around so that you can see where mobs are and when you can move safely

Some pairs seem to be almsot unsplittable, but perseverence usually pays off. Sometmes the key is to actually let them wack you before you FD. Ksvari Gulch is a great place to practice splitting. Lots of 2 spawns.

Don't forget the only way to effectively apply Nerve Strike, feign with a mob in your face and use NS to break your feign. The best part? Works against mobs that are in combat too, assuming they're not getting hit/DoT'd.

so to clarify, you pull with lets say a throwing weapon, wait for them to both come, FD, then pop back up as they are walking back and try to get one solo? do you try to get the one solo with a throwing weapon? or body pull?

I always loved pulling in EQ, it seems pretty much the same here (with a few more options)

Any old school monks remember pulling hate/fear? that was a rush the first few times
