LOL, yeah the beta client has been sitting on my HD, I never did buy into the game. Finally decided to clear up the space this morning, so could'nt resist when I saw that message and the following dialogue.

Laughed about it to myself at work today wondering if I'd get any hits in the Volcano :)

still laughing :D

if that means you are removing it, make sure you do an uninstall first :)

Don't worry Atoyota, I am A+ Certified, which doesn't mean a whole lot once I get my CCNA, but I always uninstall first. :D

Estefan, that is rather harsh. I don't think anyone was meaning to insult the game.

Actually I may play with fxdsk... it says something about repartitioning and that sounds like fun!!!

That's too bad, Atoyota.

I left beta with a lot of negative impressions, but I'm having a complete blast in the retail game. The depth and freedom of the experience have really hit home for me. There is a ton of lore available (the good stuff through the diplomacy quests), the world is breathtakingly beautiful, and the community on Woefeather is thus far excellent.

I started as very skeptical, and have been shocked to find myself feeling the level of awe and enjoyment that I did in the early days of EQ.

Telon's a pretty magical place, you should give it another try.

Well I never did play EQ, rather UO... 97-2001

I'm not a fan of quests, and lore never interested me. (in UO the players were the lore, or we made our own lore as we played).

I felt they did some nice things, performance and bugs never bothered me. It was just progression (levels) and class, and item centric, and trainers... all the same stuff I saw in WoW that convinced me finally... this was'nt me.

I was a huge proponent of Diplomacy, and I still support that sphere, although with much less enthusiasm now as the overall game (vanguard) itself bores me.

They've done so many things that smack me as trivial and unimmersive that again... does'nt suit my playstyle and just seems regurgitated from other games... had no choice but to make my decision in November, and have'nt seen a thing to change my mind. In fact reading the forums here everyday reinforces my viewpoints.

So... nuff said.
