View Full Version : How do i look for my motherboards make and model?

I wanna check if i have any updates avalible to me for my intel pent http://www.intel.com/products/deskto...oard/index.htm but they give a list of a bunch of models and series how do i know which one is mine? Thanks in advance

Generally, it is printed on the actual mainboard. You'll see a (usually) big white number of some sort. If your box is a pre-built from somewhere like Dell, it will not have any printed numbers, and you MUST go to the prebuilders website for drivers and updates.

Everest can usually tell you your mobo make model and bios version.

Otherwise you are going to have to actually open the computer and try to find it on the motherboard itself. Or find your old manuals.
