Hi! Im doing the gorgalok armor set i have a problem!

I have collected all the parts for the Swamp Armor: Gloves quest but it wont let me turn it in! When i go to turn it in, it wont let me highlight the gloves on the quest complete dialog and all the requirements are green! Is there a faction requirement to turn in the quest?

I sure hope faction is required, otherwise it would be lame. People could just go around and turn in whatever armor they feel like.

For some reason you do not turn in gorg armor to the same person you picked it up from. There is an Elder you must hand it into at one of the buildings inside gorg city

Some armor parts are tradable like the belt and others not like gloves or the helm.....please fix this and make it tradeable for all items.

Just yesterday we got the mage swamp satin belt but with some mages in the group almost impossible to get ur needed parts

Please recheck the item drop for the needed armor parts or make it possible to get more than one item loot if more ppl of the same class are in the group. A good solution would be also to make all the armor parts tradeable not just the belt :-)

While I feel your pain in the grind for the pieces, making the armor tradable will be a HUGE mistake. Whats the point of even doing these quests if I can just wait a week for the market to get flooded with the pieces I want? This is JUST as ridiculous as Wardship and I'm happy. This kicks out the people who don't want to farm this armor all day, thats fine, go get crafted. But for those of us that want to spend all this time to get something unique and thus making the armor worth something, lets keep it this way. I do agree that they should change the tags on some of the pieces, make them all no trade

Making anything guaranteed will just make the game lose its value. Hell even the named in Thel and Vol Tuniel aren't guaranteed an armor drop. It should stay all random and rare to get.

I'll check it out when I get to the office this morning. Same for the Ichtakhta dropping pieces for the Ichtakhta armor. If that's actually happening it's obviously a bug.

Another bug for the armor.....

If you press P and go to your crafting tab, for Heavy Plate I can only see the upgraded armor for Itch and Gorg, plate melee and healer. I am aligned with Itch and Flord and I can't see the Flordiel pieces upgraded! This sucks cause it doesnt allow me to see what the stats are of the upgraded armor, which should help me decide which questline I want to develop in.

Another bug-both the upgraded warrior, Gorg armor, and the upgraded Flordiel armor--both are asking for the same type of armor.

Have you done the first ambassador quest with the Flordiel(collect 25 frog necklaces)? I couldnt see thier upgraded armor until i completed it.

There some trick to getting the Wind Essences ? I've been killing junk for about two days now and not got a single one. I've got multiple armor pieces and such but, never seen a wind anything.

Elidroth its true that the Ichtakhta are dropping their own armor. I killed prob 20 named and only got Ich armor. Sucks when you want to get your Gorg armor components

Similar issue here. Ally with Ichitahkta, done all faction qusts for more than 10 times, yet the Ichitakhta armor upgrade is not in the assembly window.

I'm going to change this today. You will take the quest items back to the Quartermaster to turn in for your armor.

This won't hit live servers for a patch or two though. You can still turn in the armor to the Elders until this change goes live.

The only pieces that are race specific is the actual armor template piece. Many of the sub-components are shared amongst many npc's.

I'm going through the loot tables right now and I'm not finding anything wrong. If you can give me a specific example to track down it'll help, and it's entirely possible it was fixed already and you just don't have the patch yet.

Just to post an opinion on this type of quest (you can agree or disagree just my opinion).

I greatly dislike quests that have you at the mercy of a crappy random number generator. Things that have an ultra rare chance to drop which means some people will get it on the first kill and others can kill 1000 mobs and not get a drop really irk me.

If you want me to kill 1000 mobs tell me to kill 1000 mobs... This is why I really liked Graystone. At least there you knew that if you just kept killing you'd get the insignias because you knew they'd drop off the named. Sure it took a long time, and sure maybe I killed 1000s of mobs but it didn't feel as futile as this type of thing.

I guess it's just a perception thing, but it gets very frustrating killing for days and days and not see any of your drops yet hear of others just running and killing a random 2-dot and getting theirs.

As of yesterday (4/22/07), various Ichtakhta boss / named monsters were indeed dropping Ichtakhta armor pieces, not pieces for the other factions. However, non named Ichtakhta monsters did drop a few Gorgalok / Flordiel armor pieces.

Please take a look specifically at the boss / named monsters located in the Ichtakhta camp.

Oh, and if the loot tables have indeed been fixed, is there an ETA on when the playerbase will see a live patch remedying this situation?

Yes ALL named npcs in Ichtakhta are dropping thier own shoulder armor pieces. I have a entire bag full of these pieces. Floridiel named are also dropping the same shoulder pieces.

Oh and if you look the heavy plate shimmering silverbark requires the Gorg pieces? This is wrong, Silverbark is for Flordiel. So I guess its not that I am missing the upgraded Flordiel, its that the components are messed up and it says I need Gorg armor to be upgraded so I get heroic Flord armor

Another thing to take a look at...

I've been farming Flordiel for 5 days now. I've gotten about 20-25 drops of armor. I've gotten 5 splintered bark caps, 2 light shoulders, 3 treated sap caps, 3 treated AND splintered bark boots, 2 medium shoulders...and a bunch of medium gloves. In all this I get 1 heavy plate boots. Thats it.

Is the drop rate for heavy borked? Does it need to be up'd or checked at? I've heard from many other people on my server that all they get is medium, not even light! Can we get a check on this?

Sigh, that was my fault - error in the data set. I checked the other Ichtakhta loot tables and only found that the error was present in the shoulder pieces.

Sorry for the mishap guys! The GMs have a listing of straight-across trades for the corresponding, correct item that should have dropped.

The issue will be fixed in the next patch =)

Fixed this as well - it will be in the next patch. Now requires the Flordiel "Forest Enchanted" platemail armor!
