Default Guild Apps for Raid Testing

Sigil recently gave the affiliates this bit of news to pass on:

We are now accepting applications from guilds to focus test raids and the raiding system for Vanguard. Selections will be made at Sigil's discretion.

Applications will be accepted from guild leaders only; multiple applications for the same guild may result in removal from the selection process.

IMPORTANT: All characters listed below must be created on Test Server prior to submitting an application. Guilds are required to have at least 24 members to be considered.

To apply please email the following to testing@sigilgames.com, include your guilds name in the subject of the email:

Guild Leader's Primary Character:
Server:
Email:
Guild's previous raiding experience:
Primary Playtime/Guild raiding hours:
Guild Character Class/Name on Test Server (Minimum 24 Maximum 30):
Note - Please list the guild leader character at the top of the list with an asterisk* (ex. Bard - Elrar*). Also please note the specific path of each shaman and monk.

Testing will begin soon and last for 2-3 weeks with multiple guilds selected throughout the process. Thank you for your interest!

To access the test server you must start the Vanguard Launchpad normally. Once you have completed scanning do not press Play - a "Test Server" button will be activated, click on this to launch the Test Server launchpad, this may require additional downloads. Once the launchpad has completed patching click play to launch the Test client. Most European players are unable to participate on the Test Server at this time - we apologize for the inconvenience.

Probaly a noob question, but is there a copy option for taking your current toon over there or are we expected to level a new character up to participate in the raid content?

Guilds accepted will have "buffed" characters to use from the level 1's they make on test.

It's got something to do with the launchpad software I think. Not sure though.

So they are looking for guilds that have a ton of people using new Intels and 8800s? While I would love to raid dont you think the "first" thing they should do is tackle the hudge performance issues and crashes? I wonder if the Sigil staff walks into the building backwards every morning because that seams to be the way the game is dev.

You mean Intel and ATI 1950s right? I hear 8800s still run bad.

no intel coreduos and 8800 cards run great! as long as you are on xp! in vista expect to crash after 20 mins. I get 20-45 in towns with large populations of players, and 35-90 in country areas, this is on highest settings + 80% grass, 79% environ shaders, hdr, tone-mapping, bloom, very-high textures(ultra doesn't look any different!) No, the 8800 cards with a good core2duo will rock vanguard! I still do ctd in xp after 1-3hrs of play or a lot of chunk changing.

1950s and 8800s run reasonably the same.. 1950 might be less powered, but i'd consider it the more stable of the two
