Just started crafting and was given some tool parts as a quest reward. I am now being told to combine these with my saw (which is in my tool belt). Question...HOW????

Tried left clicking, right clicking, dragging, moving the saw out of the tool belt first.....no joy. Come on guys....give me some ideas here...please?
