Disciple Killing Machine!
Ok so not quite. But I've never had damage like this and probably unlikely to again, so thought I'd post it. Yes I know I'm 50 and yes I know some other classes may do more as a matter of course; yada yada. Nonetheless it amused me

You're probably talking about the Dread Knight who had a skill to finish opponents when they are at 10% health and had insane damage numbers... but that skill has long been changed to some other definition.

Nice legendary hit. I hate how I always get legendary hits vs very easy mobs.. yet I fail to get them when needed :/

Necros still have a skill they can use when the mob is below 50% or something like that, and it will outright kill the mob. Think it's on a 30 min refresh, and pretty sure the most, if not all named mobs are immune to it. I have also seen some pretty huge reflected spells, like 35k+

Thanks bud, weapon below - just a bog standard rare.
And yeh, funny how u never get those hits on the mob that's one hit away from murdering u lol
As u can see from the stats, I do a wee bit of dmg self-buffed

The only reason the dps is so superior is the speed and as we all know, that matters not a jot. And I can live without Eila's Cunning - although it's on something else I wear
I am aware that there are crafted pieces with ridiculous amounts of +numbers and those I'd be interested in. Everything else is just fluff.
Nice try though

*shrug*
I have both of those and my top damage is 30 points higher on the crafted one vs. the rare adv drop. And thats base attack, not dps.

Well ok, but that's more to do with the 11 extra str on the crafted than the higher numbers.
Fact is, since they made str meaningful it's far more beneficial than getting a higher dmg weapon. So basically, a level 48 blue with solely +40 str and a bit of +dmg would out-dmg that crafted, if there was such a thing and dmg was all you were concerned about.
Bit silly, but that's the way it is.

Heh nice, heroic fist weaps I take it?
Good few buffs up there, but no 10% dmg endowment? Could have done even more

yes, but just the claws, the handwraps are just rare. im not specc'd for damage either, i went for a happy medium and it seems to work for me. i do swap out the staff from time to time, but the crit rate on the h2h weapons seem to provide a larger boost in dps than the raw dmg on the martial staff

With your spec, yes. My dex from earlier screenshot is nearer 400 buffed and the staff crits often enough.
I agree though, I've got a couple of Hand of God Kings and throughout the game it's always seemed to me that mobs go down quicker - and it feels safer - with fist weapons over 2h. I only use the staff coz I just think it can't necessarily be so
Oh and tbh, the only major difference in our specs is your wisdom. I'm not a dmg junkie by any means; the only reason I don't have wisdom above 200 is because it's actually completely unnecessary imo. I've never run out of around 2.5k, but hey that's just me.

It's really more of a safety blanket, i've had a few cold starts where the extra energy has helped. I've never used any of my respec points, so if i find that the extra energy isn't necessary, i'll be changing things up. For now, my damage is decent and energy is never an issue. Im thinking that the differences in our str / wis is based on our gear though, i've been swapping alot of my gear our for items with higher AC that just happens to have wis and healing focus on them

Yes I did notice your very nice HF total...compared to my zero lol.
You're right, the difference is mostly gear and if I swapped a few things out (eg if I was in a group) the stats look totally different.
