I wanted to post an update on Shadowfires Recruiting and guild happenings... We are still looking for good members to join us. below is what is happening in the guild now. Be a part of a great family style guild today.


Starting last weekend March 31st, we have started doing guild events every Saturday. Times are still being finalized. These events serve two purposes.

First, the help bring us together. Telon's a big place, and we tend to get a little spread out. By getting everyone to the same place for an event we can help make sure that our members get to know each other and get some time playing together, which is important for the long-term health of our community.

Second, this helps people who aren't part of the guild see what Shadowfire is and what we're doing. It's a good recruiting tool and we're hopeful that we'll get some new members through the events that we're planning.

What are we planning? Well, everything! The first few events will probably end up being along the lines of the following:


Crafting events - guild crafters get together and craft items for giving away to new players, or solicit the help of players in building items for them.
Diplomacy events - our diplomats descend on a city and try to trigger every single civic diplomacy buff.
Adventuring events - our adventurers meet up in a city or outpost and then lead adventures out into the world.

There's a lot more possibilities for this once we get things going. This is just the first step.

Shadowfire is still recruiting all Classes and Levels.

On the weekend of April 21st we had our first all-guild event, which was a team effort to build some ships for our fellow guild members and Allies. We had a great turnout and everyone had a lot of fun. We're going to be doing a lot more events in the future, and not just crafting ones either, but also diplomacy and adventuring stuff as well.
We also have scheduled Group Harvest events each week for those that want to help with gathering resources for guild crafters and to improve their characters harvesting skills.

One of our focuses as a guild is to try and be able to support our members in all spheres, and we've been making a lot of progress towards that end. In the last month we've added several new crafters to our roster, and we also are starting to see adventuring groups forming from within the guild several times a week. On the diplomacy front, we've started planning civic diplomacy groups to help people grind up the skill they need.

These last few months here at Shadowfire have been full of activities and fun. I always want to update our recruitment post so as to keep the Members of our community at Thunderaxe up to date on how Shadowfire is doing and if our guild would be a good fit for anyone looking for a good home.

Last month signaled a milestone for Shadowfire... we have had several new members join us and we have had many successful events. Several of our members now have sloops built with the help of our crafters and harvesters. We have guild groups going on often throughout the week and Harvesting groups still on schedule and going strong.

Another Major Milestone for us here at Shadowfire is we have started our Guild city..the Shadowfire Guild Headquarters is almost complete and several Members have purchased plots nearby, Our city is on its way to becoming a reality on Thunderaxe.

This Month of June we have scheduled weekly guild adventure groups as well as continued harvest groups. Diplomacy groups are also being planned. Crafting in Conjunction with Diplomacy is being planned as well and the same with Adventuring Groups.

Another Month has come and gone here at Shadowfire and what a Month it has been.

On the Crafting Front we have just had another successful Shipbuilding event. With the help of the entire guild we now have 2 Guild members sporting shiny new caravels. This was very exciting and fun for all our guild members.
Another Thing that was very big for Shadowfire was the completion of our Guild Headquarters and several houses are now popping up around it as our small town continues to grow and guild members purchase plots and move in. J

Diplomacy is still strong and we have events being scheduled for the month of July. These of course coincide with crafting sessions or adventure groups to help buff or groups going out… Not only is this fun but helps build diplomacy for those that hate the long grind….Doing Diplomacy as events really help add fun to it. J

On the Adventure side several groups are being scheduled each week for various areas of Telon. Our Levels are around the low 20’s to the 30’s right now and we still have groupage going on for the mid to high teens. Lots of quest are being completed and new areas being explored and we are having fun doing it.

We have had several new members join us from individuals looking for a good home to merging another guild into ours. Our Family Continues to grow and prosper.

As most know with the Server Merge looming ever closer this may be the last month some for these forums will be here in their present format. We at Shadowfire will continue to grow even after the Server Merge. We also will continue to actively recruit those that want to be a part of our ever growing family.
