Can someone elaborate on this? Looking at the skillpoint increments, 500 = level 50. So would that make sense that a level 50 skill is level 5?
Also is the damage on shank really supposed to deviate that much? Sometimes it hits for as much as backstab, other times its insanely high. (non crits of course)

The poison you make has a level requirement which is unlinked to poison skill level. I don't know why, but I THINK Dazzling Flechettes are usable at 15 or 16. It's been a long time, and I didn't touch poisons til 42 - and I regret not using them sooner, so good job on using them early. You shouldn't need Dazzling Flechette anyway, if you stay in stalk
Yes, Shank can be random. It "hits twice" - you see one big number. Both are based off of Weapon Damage, mainly. At lower levels, you don't have a HUGE weapon damage difference, but since Shank is technically a double hit, and it adds like 250 damage on each hit, you can go from 1500 to 3000 with ease, and backstab won't. If you are fighting mobs 3+ levels higher than you, you will see a damage decrease as well. I'm 49, and if I fight a 52, all my abilities do less damage than to a 50. It's a little silly if you ask me, but hey, I didn't design the game.
