will this raid encounter still need a galleon to access this specific location?

Awhile back i was under the impression that you would need a Galleon to enter this area... is this true.? i remember a video some were of a huge ship pulling into the area on a small clip.

But was curious as to whether they still planned on Galleons for access or are they still even planning on releasing galleons at all.

APW on the southern tip of the Thestra landmass. I was able to run there the last time I went.

I thought the reason the galleon's were pulled was do to a certain raid content that you had to have a galleon to access it, i figured it was the apw

Still wondered why they pulled the big ships out.. have they said when they will re-instate them

I don't see why you would need a galleon for any content, considering you can swim anywhere a galleon can go. I don't recall galleons ever being accessible by players. I remember the Crimson Fellowship having a bunch, but players couldn't craft them because of the problems with sailing them.

LOL that would be a catch 22, it's my understanding that some of the recipes for Galleons drop in APW.

Hadn't heard that before. Just the confirmation of the 9 item loot table on the trash and the legendary soulbound recipes on the 2 big bosses. Assuming the mini bosses are for the fabled armor sets.

I was kind of hoping they would make the mortar recipes for the guild halls drop in APW but then they mentioned something about not requiring guilds to raid to get their guild halls done so I'm thinking it's going to be dropped in RI.

With AoC being pushed back to 3/25/08 allot of raid guilds are looking to stick around for APW.

VSOH has no new MMO competition till Q1 08 it seems...

hmmm the changes have had the effect of me fading as well but honestly, you couldnt pay me to play Eq2..ever.. In fact, its the soe model of mediocrity which is encouraging me to take a long break from that company. Being the bitter mmo player I am, probably going to be a long time till I buy Anything produced by SOE, or even Sony really. They rode(riding) EQ into the ground and then this forced 1/2 assed launch and Im done.
