Default Windows XP 64 Service Pack

Okay incoherent and clueless Microsoft decided to autoupdate my PC with this garbage of a Service Pack for Windows XP 64. Now my system crashes (not game, but entire system) very frequently (9-15 times an hour). I can't even restore as that crashes my system. Any clue on what to do as my google returns comback with SP for XP x86 OS. My system specs are below. I did update my video drivers but that was useless.

If your running any kind of software firewall or security suite, uninstall it immediately. SP2 changed the networking security structure a lot which broke most software firewalls.

Define crash. Blue screen? hard hang? anything in the event log just before or after the crash? does Online Crash Analysis help if you have a crash dump? ( http://oca.microsoft.com )?

Reinstalled any 3rd party virus or firewall?

had to do with memory as SP2 much like Vista 64 can't handle memory above 2GB very well... unstalled SP2 and works like a champ

Creative labs Xfi-drivers have been having problems on x64 systems w/ 4gb or better RAM.

Doubt if its the service pack alone. very likley that there are driver problems.
