The trial island is an interesting study. From some things I have read, it is made for folks who have never played any MMO, so it could possibly be lost on a number of players. From others, it is an opportunity to play a portion of the game without downloading the entirety of it. I also read in the producer's letter that the island will more directly lead the character along to a more linear path of progression. This experiment will be interesting to watch. I only hope that the people who are designing these concepts actually play MMOs as a pasttime.

I think that they've done a pretty good job with the classes being enjoyable at early levels. I've played every class except cleric up to at least 10, and found the early levels enjoyable, and a decent general taste of what to expect from the class.

Well instead of translating part 2, I've decided to provide an analogy instead that also provides an accurate translation.

If asteroids were smashing into a ship, the ship's intelligent computer went crazy a la H.A.L. and killed 3 crewmembers (including the captain), the ship was headed onto a course straight into the Sun, and the ship was VG:SoH, it would go something like this scene from classic movie Airplane 2.

Elaine is part of the crew of the ship.

I do. Started at launch, quit for a couple months at the end of last year, and started back up in January.

8-10 or so months ago is a long time, don't ya think? Been quite a few GUs since then. It's hard for me to take your posts very seriously when it's clear you're not really speaking from experience on the current state of the game.
