Back in the day when I got my keyboard I used the light all the time. In recent years I haven't though. When first getting used to the new keyboard it's pretty helpful. The newer ones can control the brightness level I think.
But yeah. $200 is just silly. Much over $100 is too much for a keyboard, regardless of the number of macro buttons if ya ask me. Now, the companion LCD, that could be really helpful if game designers coded to it, you could have a map there, or I think Ventrillo can go down there, etc., but I don't think that feature is worth $100. You can find a second monitor for that much.
