Default Ces 2009

Noticed this a new G19 Keyboard on the Logitech site.

While this isn't specifically from CES, seems there are articles from mid-December, I expect we'll hear more about it and see it shown off at CES.

Drop stuff you peep from CES in here.

Looks like the G19 isn't due out till March and it's got a whopping $200 price tag. (I expect that to dive rather quickly down to $150 within a few months of launch due to just being way too high of a price.)

$200 is way too much for this. Hell $50 is too much for this.
My $10 keyboard does just fine.

I don't know, I'd pay a decent price for a keyboard like that. Certainly not $200, maybe $100 though.

Keyboards are one of those things I'd like to try out first hand if I could before I spent that kind of money though. The buttons on the left side look like they might take some getting used to for me. And how sturdy would that lcd screen part be? Doesn't look like it's connected to the rest of the keyboard by much, how far that screen be angled before something breaks?

Maybe its just me but I don't like keyboards that glow in the dark either. Its just a waste of energy and honestly just looks ugly. My keyboard shouldn't be brighter than my monitor.

Back in the day when I got my keyboard I used the light all the time. In recent years I haven't though. When first getting used to the new keyboard it's pretty helpful. The newer ones can control the brightness level I think.

But yeah. $200 is just silly. Much over $100 is too much for a keyboard, regardless of the number of macro buttons if ya ask me. Now, the companion LCD, that could be really helpful if game designers coded to it, you could have a map there, or I think Ventrillo can go down there, etc., but I don't think that feature is worth $100. You can find a second monitor for that much.

Anandtech - news about Poulsbo, a graphic chips for netbooks

This would be the second gaming capable netbook, as the Asus N10J is the first by using the Intel on-board chip + Nvidia 9300 M.
