I'm concerned about it, partly because I don't really get a warm fuzzy about a director when you tell me he directed The Day After Tomorrow. That movie was really bad. I probably would have just kept quiet about being involved in that movie if it were me.

This looks from the preview like it's going to rely much too heavily on special effects to be any good. We are, however, probably just seeing all the footage from a single 5-minute segment of the film, and the real question is what they do with all the time not shown in the previews.

Despite my high level of skepticism, I usually enjoy John Cusack's acting, and often find his movies more interesting and thoughtful than I expect. There's at least a glimmer of hope, I suppose.

I thought Independence day was a big letdown as well. Will Smith punching out aliens and saying "Welcome to Earth!" and golden retreivers jumping through walls of flame just didn't tickle my niblet.

Never really been into disaster movies.

Now, District 9 looks "interesting".

I thought the day after tomorrow was alright, but not one I have watched a second time, even though I have the dvd.
The special effects look pretty cool in the trailer. But I have seen some really awesome trailers the were just that, awesome trailers. Movie actually sucked.

I've been on the Ranger, the Hornet and the Constellation, but never saw a ship's designation and name painted on the flight deck. Maybe it's different with the John F. Kennedy, but I doubt it. The Hornet has beeen decommissioned since forever and they dont' paint crap on the deck.

Maybe it's not a big deal, but little details like that jump out and yell lame in my ear.
