Wheel of Time Book 12 - The Gathering Storm
If you did not yet get the latest Book of the Wheel of Time series, The Gathering Storm, go get it! Been long since I've actually read 750 pages in one sitting. Its truely awesome in some parts.
Sanderson has a good grasp of both Jordan's world and writing style, but without the issues that plagued the later books Jordan wrote. There is of course some braid tugging and skirt smoothing, but it never reaches the painful level of some of the other books. And Sanderson manages to progress story lines and even completes some to an extent. Something that Jordan had some serious issues with in a few books.
Guess it also has a few weak points, but I don't care much about them, been long since I enjoyed a book like this.

I started reading Jordan's books when I was in grade 9 and over the years of reading this series I came to hate his style of writing. He lost his direction after book 6 and just rambled through the various stories he created eventually making me not care what happened to anyone in that particular world. I hope everyone dies at the end.

Interesting example of what playing MMO does to the mind of its players when applied long enough I guess. Also thanks for quelling any interest in talking about this topic. Why the hell do I even post here anymore.
Go **** yourself.

He's welcome to his opinion. How about you guys that like the series post your opinions. Maybe you can convince bystanders like myself to disregard Magic's comments and garner an interest in reading it for ourselves.

There's no real need to correct Magicnumbers's opinion as it is not wrong. His assessment of the whole series is though. Bias based on something liked taking a turn to the worse while beeing barely an adult. Way to go.
The first six books of WoT are good or even great. After that Jordan lost it and the books get mediocre, to the point where it is sufficient to read the plot summary on the web. At least until Book 11, the last one he wrote before he died, that one is not too bad. Book 12, as I wrote in the OP, is great again. The series as a whole is definitly worth checking out.
As with all things, make up your own mind.

Sanderson is a pretty good Fantasy Author. I thought his Mistborn trilogy was well worth the read. Elantris, less so, but readable.
I'm certain he'll wrap the WoT series up admirably.
Oh, and incidentally, I'm another reader who gave up on WoT around book 7 or 8. Too much of the books about women bitching.

The Wheel of Time was the worst pile of dull drivel i've ever had the misfortune to read.

The bitching thing got to me as well. I don't think the author liked women very much.

He wrote so much about what he considered strong minded women that you can't really say he didn't like them. It is more like he had an odd fetish and his wife gotta be something very special. I personally find it more amusing than anoying.
The real problem with books 8-11 is that Jordan completly lost track of his plot lines, kept introducing new ones without clear purpose and didn't manage to progress the important ones significantly.
