Default Trion - You guys really are amazing.

I bought the RIFT CE, and as such because of some silly law about plastic and cancer I couldn't get a USB pen shipped with the box, they gave me a choice of two months gameplay with some additional items (gems for weapons), or a replacement USB key.

I sent off for the key, and Trion dispatched it from America and it arrived. It worked flawlessly, then I left RIFT and the USB key was forgotten about (As I didn't need it, it just looked cool!)

Well I opened up a package with interest the other day, I hadn't sent off for anything. Well it was from Trion, apparently the USB keys were not functioning as quick as had hoped as such they automatically re-sent new, improved flash drives to all those that wanted one.

That's great customer service, God bless you Trion and thank you (It's actually a rather nice key, nice 'n quick, running a persistent Ubuntu distribution from it, trying to get OnLive to function in W.I.N.E)

I felt it was a decent enough game, but I devoured the content fairly quickly. Level cap life grew stale and after two months, I was done.

That sounds like most people's experience, and was pretty predictable considering the game's scope and design. I played for about 3 months during beta, and had a very similar experience to yours.

Heh I'm still playing. They did put in an AA system in the last big update but, honestly, it just makes more things to play with than something entirely new in the game. They also added individual and duo instance options, a new challenging dungeon (I haven't seen it yet), a new warfront, etc. Nothing earthshaking but there are frequent additions, which is nice.

The servers seem full and busy so my guess is that as folks max out, others are just starting. The current event is about expanding the world. That should add back some exploring fun but, we'll see.
