So this game was saved from the jaws of failure. Not sure how but anyway. They are now back to work and the release date has been pushed back to some time in the future. Apparently the game is in an "ok" state at the moment, in that they actually have some stuff that works, like crafting and whatnot. At the moment they working on re-writing the renderer which is giving a lot of people some big frame rate increases.
I can't be bothered trying it for myself, but after snooping around a bit, it seems there is still tons of work to be done. The combat sounds like it barely even works and lots of content is still to be added. They seem to think that they will deliver "the best sandbox MMO", so... good luck to them. Personally I am not that interested in sandbox MMO's though. Minecraft online? No thanks. I would maybe be interested in one if it had the depth of UO, but I just can't get excited about something like Darkfall. I don't really know much about that or this though so whatever, I'll wait and see what happens.
