Count me as one of the skeptics. I have zero interest in EQ Next, given SOE's MMO history. And EQ is my all-time favorite MMO!

When did this become the EQMac or Sony talk thread?

It's a shame Sony caved on EQMac, though.

Around post 142. Perhaps it was earlier.

The VG community is active again with new rumors.

SOE has removed the community manager Naylie (she of the incompetant public disclosure) and brought in Zatozia.

Also, SOE is making a new deal with a game company in Europe to run their servers. At first, the announcement did not include VG in the list of games that the Euro company is taking over, but now the Euro company is talking details and said that SOE station cash (or the new Euro equivalent) will be useable in EQ2 and VG. Does this mean that the Euro company knows that VG is going f2p?

With the launch of DC Universe, we will introduce a new in-game currency that is similar to StationCash. It will not be Alaplaya Points. Your Station cash will be converted to our currency and you will be able to use it with EQ2 and Vanguard.

I started going through VT with my guild early. It was great experience what a confident, mixed party can do in VG. I really like all of the abilities that the varied characters can bring to bear; it really makes large combats (it was common for us to have 5-6 mobs at once) fun.
Sadly, most of that impact hinges on a large community. Some of the long campaigns (like Celestine Wardship) look really long if you consider soloing or only getting pick-up group, but a group of friends can really make it a medium quest with very good rewards.
