You could not have bought a released game because the game is not released. What do you think the purchase agreement was? What did you think you were giving them money for? You did not expect and did not get anything handed back to you. If you were fine with that when you gave the money, why are you not fine with that now?
It's not being blinded, IMHO. It's the legalities of commerce. Think of every purchase you make as a small contract - something in exchange for money. You don't give money unless you agree to the deal. What was the deal that you agreed to? If the deal was "you give us X dollars and we will give you a game in the future plus invite you to what-we-define-as-beta" then they have lived up to their end of the deal.
