I spent the Easter weekend enjoying good food, family, and Tera Beta.
You start out on the "Island of Dawn" weird because I remember Vanguard creating a "Isle of Dawn" Starter area anyway co-inkeydink?:::shrug:::
The scenery was straight out of a 'Carebear's" episode Literally. No seriously!....No Joke!.....

I created Popori (my carebear looking character) and set all my keys up and was ready to go!
Questing was the standard kill this, kill that, bring this back for proof. Or click this, and bring this back. I can't tell you how thoroughly I enjoyed this innovation......NOT!
Battle is like a FPS almost it has a target reticle on the screen and that's how you target damage abilities. All the mobs tend to telegraph when they are about to attack so you can move in time. They have a special attack that telegraphs by their eyes turning red. I found the combat easy and redundant with little to no challenge.
The ONLY challenge I had was actually soloing a 5 man instance. Ok So I didn't actually solo it. I was forced to be partnered up with this NPC Mercenary who did little more than get in my way. This feature utterly angered me to no end. The Main Boss however was fun and challenging because I had to dodge between the Mob and the so called helpful npc GRRRR!
Another Complaint the world was full of these almost XXX rated Anime looking sex kittens that run with their asses up in the air like a cat in heat! Seriously...No Joke!....I'm not kidding! Everywhere! In chat I hear people asking why they can't show more flesh and I'm Like REALLY?!! How hard up do you have to be to use a game character for sexual fulfillment?!
Don't get me wrong I'm no prude but here you have this rainbow world filled with "Hollywood wives" like characters. It is like bizzarro land. I think this game was made with tweens in mind. I felt totally embarrassed for them and myself really by being in this world.
I leveled up enough to get off the starter Island to see if things picked up or changed. It really didn't. I got my first lame ass looking mount I called unaffectionately (My Ugly Pony). It was a monstrosity of a horse. It served it's purpose to get you to quest hub to lame quest hub, Rinsing and repeating.
Overall the game was hard to log into to play. It had nothing I hadn't done a bazzzilion times before in other MMO's
I know people will say The content is better at higher levels,or it is just beta, but I'm sorry If I have to suffer through lower levels to get to the "good part" You can shove this game up your ass sideways. I should be able to have fun and entertainment at log in! The "it's just Beta" doesn't work either since it is ready to release in a couple weeks.
If this game was free to play I wouldn't play it.
