Local chat (Say) is now very short range. /Shout (Map) at map range has been added.
Auto attacks no longer continue to attack an unselected target.
Added character context menu options for traveling to a party member's shard.

Well, that right there fixes EVERY issue I have. Thank you, Arena Net.

The game is pretty close to finishing, just some high level zones needing work.

I want to believe.

I'm still hoping for first-person view and a sound effect for auto-looting (and maybe an animation?).
I like the sound of the system that allows projectiles to be fired in the direction the camera is facing when you're holding down the right mouse button, rather than the way your character's feet are facing. That should be very nice.

I'm in favour of first person (though I will never use it) because the option should be there for those who want it. It doesn't affect my gameplay.
I'm in favour of a sound effect for looting. Not an animation, though. I move too fast in WvW to be slowed down by an animation effect.
I guess I don't get the 'fire in direction camera is looking'. You have a target, are you not facing the target? If not, why not? Your character auto-turns to face your target so if you Tab to something off screen (to your right) and fire, you turn and fire. I do not understand what this does.

it's perfectly possible to fire abilities without a target. For ranged abilities...they will hit whoever gets in the way of the flight path. So...you could be running north, turn your camera (mouselook) to the east, fire off a fireball, while continuing to run north...and the fireball will hit anything in its path to the east. Obviously, there are a ton of potential ramifications to something like that.

How ligitimate are these leaked patch notes? That is, how do you know they are the real patch notes from the game?

They are legit. Some people are in the Beta. They can't *say* they are in the Beta, so you have to take their word for it.

There is testing running 24/7 with a smaller community of testers...those folks tend to leak things from the beta boards that the rest of us don't get to see because the forums are closed to everyone else until the next BWE.
