1900XT or 1900XTX
Now i was looking over things, and prices are kind of close now. I was going for the 1500 build, and was wondering if the XTX is better or should i stick with the XT, If there is better preformance to behind id rather get the XTX
Also, would be a good Idea to Crossfire either of these cards. I am looking to get a good videocard. So baiscly i was looking for a recomendation, as my old computer is really bad, and wouldnt like to wait to much longer.
looking around also maybe should i wait and spring for a 1950 ?

I'd say wait for the X1950XTX, if you have the money to spend (it will likely be close to $500 at launch). If not, the lowest-priced X1900XT (512MB) will be a great deal. It only performs slightly less than the XTX...and can be found for considerably less money. Also, watch for prices to drop a bit when the new X1950 cards hit in about a week.
And, of course... you can't give a GPU recommendation right now without mentioning the fact that DirectX 10 GPUs are coming soon...within the next three months or so there will be some much bigger monsters on the GPU market.

Yeah, i was thinking, about waiting for the 1950, i dont want to wait till the dx10's comes and the 1900 would be plenty so waiting for the 1950 will be a nice coushin for me. I suppose thanks for the advice

'Would be plenty' and 'would do newer/better things' are two different stories. You have to remember that you aren't just gauging what power you need to run with a GPU, but what features you run.
Yeah, it is very likely that only a half dozen or so titles will actually use DX10 in the first year post Vista release, but I highly recommend that anyone even considering a GPU now wait until this holiday season when the nVidia and ATi DX10s have released, see what they have to offer, and at what price points, and then decide.
Someone who upgrades 'today' could be seriously gimping themselves in terms of future compatibility because something looks 'good enough' right now.
Consider if you buy a 'slightly underpowered DX10' GPU at launch and then dual card that later you aren't missing any features, whereas if you buy a super high-end card now, the minute DX10 launches you are behind on features and even buying a second card to dual with that you won't be able to get the new features.
Even speaking as someone who games tons and tons, no game is worth getting a new GPU for when there is a new generation of GPUs which will have new features as little as 2.5 months from now.
Do what you want, but I think it'd be a serious mistake not to wait for the DX10s and see what they have to offer first.
At the very least you'd save $ if the prices got dropped due to the DX10 launch.

I didnt think about it back when I bought my 7600GT... but I suppose it was a good move, since I was going to buy a better card then... but can hold onto more money for a DX10 card in a few months or next year. As you said, I'm guessing (hoping) they are going to be considerably more powerful vs the current DX cards... (and I hope not too pricey by the time I actually need one, hah)

well this thing here is my current video card is sheer junk, and for my new system, i will need to buy a new one, my question is what should i buy becuase i need to buy something realitively soon. And its either a 1950 or 1900.. Personally i might hold out for the 1950 becuase it loooks like a big upgrade.
Now as far as the dx10 cards go i agree if i was able id def hold out till they release, but as it stands my current rig is on its last leg ( i useing a crapy PCI vid card ( Note thats not PCI-e))
So i would rather need to hold onto the relic anylonger then i have to, My other option would be go for teh cheaper 1900 now, that way when i upgrade later to a DX10 card ( in a few months) It would be an as big price loss

Get the 1950 IMO. There's no reason you can't just get a DX10 card next summer if it turns out you really need one... as long as you are aware and accepting of that potential.
