Rogue Ideas (not a whine of "broken class")
Here are some ideas I had while playing the beta that would improve the "fun" or RP of a rogue (I prefer the term thief so from here on Ill refer to them as such)
1) A thieves Cant, EQ1 had it and I really enjoyed it. It gives all thieves a common thread. The problem in EQ1 was that it could be learned by everyone else. Don't let that happen in Vanguard (if its put in). Yeah that is a bit "unreal" but in EQ1 the 'cant' became worthless and not unique at all.
2) Thieves guild (NPC), got to have them stationed out of some tavern or someplace "seedy" Doesn't have to be fancy just a place where thieves can come and buy their class abilities, poison books, smoke bombs etc. at a smaller price than "other places in the world" Have a class trainer in there and other things you think of when you think "thieves guild" Of course quests involving our skills. OH! and Alcohol! Limit the guild to one maybe two cities in the world.... Khal would be a great place for such a guild. I say limit it to one place because of the item discounts and it would make whatever city it was in a "home" for all thieves. Guild also has a faction so you could be shunned or hated by them if you kill their agents and things. Add a fence (broker but name him Fence so and so)
3) Not really thieving related but let us sit on chairs and lay on beds. (us being everyone not just us thieves lol)
4) Wheres my damn Rapier! I haven't seen one thus far but of course I haven't done or seen much.
Well those are some of my ideas that are not DPS related. Add some and I'm sure I will too. I don't much care that our class is "broken" right now, Im all about the exp. of a thief and the bond thief players share, its not like any other class, thieves look after one another...honor among thieves exists.
