I made an Oval Quartz with Energy enhancement. I tried to make it into jewelry, but it said that I don't have the required components. I don't get it....is it because it only accepts "Baguette?" Then how do you make quartz jewelry that ISN'T mental absorption?

On a related note, what can I do with a Charlatan's Basalt Block? The Basalt Focus only accepts those made with power, spirit, or cerebral (or none), not intelligence. Is there any way to use that block?

You can use the block to make a basalt hatchet enchanted with int.

The style of jewelry you can create is dependant on your home continent, and whether you've learned recipes from the others. For Thestran jewelry, you can only make use of Teardrop (cold resist) and Trilliant (fire resist) cut gems.

Although I do a fair business in Diamond Cut Garnets for blacksmiths. Apparently this is one of the ingrediants in their weapon upgrade recipe. However, until I learn how to make <X> continent jewelry, I can't actually make use of a diamond cut myself.
