Anyone know how to kill a cleric?

As a sorcerer I run out of a mana, while they are still at 80%.
As a shaman I run out of mana and can't deal enough damage to them.

I can't even kill a cleric 4 levels lower than me! At BEST I have to run away once I'm low on mana. And yes, they can do a fair amount of damage (nukes)! Especially for a class has access to the BEST armor and the BEST heals.

Yet both shamans and sorcerers continue to get nurfed.

Yea I am a warrior lvl 20, and I have tried everything... Clerics are way to overpowered... Leave it to Sigil to hop on this though. They are busy renaming abilities, and holding board meetings to discuss the proper animation for leap attack.

Steal from WoW, give each class the abilities it needs and make the game fun. While you are at it, you may want to fix the whole problem with grouping, invites, loot bugs, d/c from group chat, YEA from a game that Sigil said is 60% group XPing... they really dropped the ball on making it run properly.

Once they nerf the invulerability they will go down very easy.

First of all its not about nerfing clerics, I am playing one right now and she is not all that strong in PVE. What needs to happen is other classes need more ways of dealing with clerics and for the record I believe the invulnerability has a 10 min cool down. Pretty much like paladins in WOW.

In fact these clerics are A LOT like Paladins in WOW.

A heavy plate wearing healer with invulnerability. But as we all know if we played WOW, paladins can be brought down its just a bit of a pain in the arse.

So, what needs to happen is other classes need to be given ways to take them down.

If you nerf them noone and I do mean NOONE will play them because they are only barely interesting to play as it stands...seriously, they may be some sort of god (I havent seen it but I believe ya lol) but they are a bit of a boring class, nothing too exciting...just very bland.

The only thing that gives mine any kind of flavor at all is I made her a DE for the fun pet and did that because otherwhise I might die of boredom playing a cleric.

Anyway guys just keep in mind........they will fine tune thngs and maybe your damage needs to go up or maybe they will find a way to nerf clerics without nerfing them out of playability (as i said damn boring already)

What happened to counterspelling in PvP in Vanguard?

I have never seen it pop-up in PvP while it works perfectly in PvE...

Daroc that might be one way to balance it without removing the 'flavor' of the healing class. As I have said, clerics are VERY boring....don't count on much of anyone playing them if they are nerfed very badly.

My main is a shaman but I play a cleric, trust me, she is hard to keep interest in due to her lack of exciting abilities. Is ok, but basically with a nerf would be just about unbearable.

see, cause i tried to kill a nerfed shaman and he just ran away

so then i tried to kill a nerfed sorcerer but i got snared or rooted or something and then the guy waved his arms and i couldn't see him

Melee. Use your mana and health regen abilities and only use your mana to heal yourself. You will slice through casters and beat on melee that can't heal themselves. You man not catch a sorc or nec due to snare, but they will not kill you either.

The only class I see giving clerics fits in PvP is prolly rangers who can snare and plunk arrows from far off. Even then you'll run out of stamina way before the cleric runs out of mana.

A cleric that travels with another tank or even another dps class is simply godly in pvp.

LOL I play a ranger and tbh the snare is a joke. It realy doesn't slow people down enough for me to escape them to get into decent bow range (there isn't enough room to run and shoot safely without agroing some mob in the area) and even if I get a way I only stand a chance with the bow if I get lot's of chains because I have only one decent damage raged shot besides the chain and that can only be used out of combat. So that means that I would most likely run out of endurance and eventually arrows before a cleric would die.

ain't that the truth. seems the only time i'm attacked is when i'm fighting a mob. for some reason, DK's give me the biggest fits, most everything else i just keep healing myself and try to get within melee range(using root when possible) and they can't touch me much.

Yeah, we're a bit overpowered in PvP I suppose. They'll tweak it...things will balance out, just give it time.

My cleric is still sub 20, but I'm trying to figure out how we are overpowered?

Yeah it's harder for others to kill us, but my dps hits like a baby with a rattle. Heck between Necro pet lag exploits and psion's using their perma stun I've been killed enough.

Had a shaman 1 level higher attack me today and I could not dent his hit points, but I could keep up healing the damage he did to me.

Was basically rock vs rock. He ran when I pulled out the dark elf pet....but he probably eventually could have beat me.

Chaos Volley, think of a cleric like a 4 dot mob you just need to take him down once hes dead all the dmg you did to yourself doesnt matter.

Sorcerer friend of mine does this to me in spars and even dumbed down dmg adds up once he starts hitting instant cast 700-800-1000. Cause that cleric is either healing or fighting and if hes fighting you he aint healing so hes dead.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I haven't got the spell yet, I only get to play the game on weekends so i'm still mid teens - one day!
