Psionic Blast vs Mental Blast

Just dinged 30 and got Psionic Blast, anyone could tell me the use of it vs Mental Blast V ? It's cost a lot more, takes a bit longer to cast for a bit more damage. Did i miss something here ?

As far as i know there are mental blast VI and higher spells. Am i wrong ?

I personally would use Mental Blast V over Psionic Blast 3 at level 44 if that intelligence bug would be fixed. There are so many advantages to that slightly shorter cast time to justify using Psionic Blast. It allows me to get in extra staff clicks inbetween spells and extra thought pulses. My two cents.

Nope. The spell line completely changes to Psionic Blast

Oh, seems to me that Psionic Blast is crap next to Mental Blast V. I need to check that again.

I use psionic blast since with temporal acceleration. it's like 2.6-7 cast time. but it really doesn't make much difference though. most of the dps psi do is from dot and some from pet.

I do like deform ability we learn from monster.. 5% spell crit haha.

Temporal acceleration is mid-high lvl buff of PSI, it boostes casting speed, refresh time and running speed. Tho i have tested it only in beta it was lvl 32 buff, quite important one for psi
