Crazy Sorcerers + Horse at < level 10?

Pretty odd thing happened to me yesterday. I'm currently playing on a FFA server. I was leveling my diplomacy up when a level 8 Sorcerer comes out of nowhere and smokes me (I'm an 11 Monk). I head back to where I was previously, and a different level 8 Sorcerer ganks me.

I see the two gather together, and to my surprise they both have a startling 3,500+ infamy rating. Furthermore, they both got on horses and headed further into the city.

Needless to say, the city became a bloodbath as they rampaged through nuking everything in their path.

Anyhow, I was under the impression you had to be at least 10 for a horse. I understand the dip quests net you a free horse, but I thought the requirement still stood for that as well?

Meh, whatever. Definitely crazy though.

Are you absolutely sure they were 8? Do you have their names?

The Barbarian race on Qalia get a horse at lvl 7 through a quest.

10 crafter also qualifies for horse riding.

Crafters get a horse to 'rent' at 10, too. So...maybe they got their crafting up.

3500 infamy is a ton for only a level 8 though

The tooltips say "10 Adventuring or 10 Crafting or 100 Diplomacy"

As long as you meet one of the requirements, you can ride the level 10 horse.

Ah now the horses make sense.

But, yes they were level 8. They we're two little furry foxes of doom that racked up a ton of infamy. They really couldn't be stopped when they went rampaging through Tanvu. Not even higher levels could touch them (by "higher" I mean within the range of about 10-16).

It was really a thing to see. Wish I had the presence of mind to take screenshots.

Yea its real hard for a sorc to get infamy..invis....nuke nuke snare nuke dead anyone except a healer
