I don't think I've ever explored that area. Is it past the door guarded by the dancing flames in the lost soul room?

Is anyone able to give direction to Vi'rek or the throne room?
We're been hunting around VT for a while now, and haven't had any luck finding it.
Any help would be awesome.
Thanks,
-Andrew

The Vi'raks are lower VT. Go through the caves east of VT. They are also called wurm caves. Throne room is straight ahead as you go down first set of stairs. Have someone that has been to both lead you or you will get lost.
Also lower VT has a lvl 42 named 6 dot that took 45 minutes to kill and drops a gem that is a quest for class specific mask. Killed 6 named in lower VT today and all dropped somor, Eltha is way to danged rare. 11 levels in VT and i only need 2 elthas to finish shoulders and bow and none will drop.

We run a fairly static group, so adding people who have been there before isn't really an option.
So the lower caves aren't accessed via the normal VT entrance? The hall? They're located elsewhere? I know there's that pit with a bunch of mobs in it on the edge of the VT walls, but we haven't explored it in depth. Is that the area?
And does that also lead to the throne room, or when you said down the stairs to the throne room, you meant from the main VT hall?
Sorry about the questions, just trying to get clarification.

Yes Throne is straight down main VT hall. Keep going straight, when you get to first big room with a bunch of tainted souls (Lost Soul named spawns here too) take the right door. Then keep going straight again until you get to another big room (dreadwing named spawns in here) in that room go out left door and down the stairs and whola you are in TR. It is a big cavernous room with a large spiraling staircase with 4 platforms on it. To get the warlord to spawn you have to clear the whole room including the mobs at the base. Be fast and just keep clearing until he spawns. A named lizard dude called Bloodtail or something also spawns in TR.
Now for Lower VT. It is not accessable anywhere near VT. There is a quest you get in recondite threshold that gives you a little wand thingee where you have to search out a source of heat. Well lower VT is the entrance where that quest brings you. The cave entrance is due east of VT. Looking at the map it looks like a big discolored area compared to the rest of the swamp. You go down a big cavern and the very last cave on the right is the entrance. Run in there and click on a big spiraling blue light thing to get ported to lower VT.

Bah, yet further reason that this, and grouping in general needs to change. I asked to join a group a few mins ago, and was declined because they need the same thing... WTF? So how am I supposed to get it? It is not soloable, so I can't take matters into my own hands. Really, each mob needs to drop 1-3 of the same rune, and the ones deep down should only drop the top tier runes.
Some group oriented game this is turning out to be. 6 person group? Why bother, you get more if you have 3-4 people!

I just need an Eltha rune to get the pants, and 1 Sar, Eltha, and Zalge to complete the weapon. I just got the robe tonight, and huh? Its level 37, heroic, a HELL of a lot of effort, yet it is worse than the starspark robe? Please explain this one to me.
On a cosmetic note, I've never been too fond with light green. Darken it up a little and it would look pretty cool... for a robe.

My bad on the mask, there are only 2 versions and they are definetely not worth the effort.
On a side note I finally finished everthing tonight and I have to say it is the most satisfying feeling I've had so far in the game. Plus my glowing bow looks awesome!!

I'm 39 and I've had to commit suicide a few times so I don't outlevel people in my group. I don't mind it, too much, but I wish those dummies at Sigil realized what handing out free exp would do to long quests like these. I still need a couple tier 3 runes, and I still have not seen plate greaves drop. What am I supposed to do, solo frogs for a month?

Hi Rin! Hope you didn't mean us. We were full with 6 people.
I don't think the nameds need to drop 3 runes each, I think nameds should just consistently drop the same runes. WTF is with camping a named that can spawn phs too and he only pops every 20 mins. So after an hour of camping he finally pops in the throne room. You kill him and... Somor.... That's what makes the quest hard.
One hour wasted for 6 people and you got nothing but 10% xp... which is a bad thing. We were going to drop the questline but realized we would be killing grey mobs so it's not we'd be 50 and working on the questline. We decided to stick it out because we'd cap out at 42 which is the perfect level for starting Greystone. If we still got xp from doing the quest we'd have stopped because it would limit us from doing other things we want to do.
Anyways, just make mobs in the throne room drop Elthas... period. Problem solved.

Nah, didn't mean your group. I knew you guys were full. My 1-3 idea is if they were bent on having random drops still, but dropping t3 runes all the time would make it much better. I mean there are several easy named around that drop delso, somor, and rigva all over the swamp, the named inside should be t3 only.

There are more places to find the runes, really. Try the snakes, getting everyone Eltha's down there was a rather quick buisness.

Yes it is silly to camp the Throne Room past lvl 37/38. Lower VT (Wurm/Vi'rak Caves) is alot easier to get Eltha. The path I took my groups brings you to 7 named that all have a chance to drop eltha. 4 of those 7 are almost 99% up. Plus the exp is 80% better then TR mobs, lower VT are lvl 38-40 and alot are lvl 40- 6dots. One part near the temple all the mobs or lvl 40-6dots and the named is lvl 42 6-dot.

Actually lower VT/Vi'rak area is fully connected to VT. In the lost soul room where you go right to hit up the throne room, go left instead. You'll eventually reach a room with a hole in the floor, which is where you port in.

Managed to get a group in there. While it is connected, we found it was much easier to go through the hotspot area.

300 motes is a joke. You can get 100 motes a night. This isn't factoring armor turn in for motes either. Hell, when I started this quest I was at 190ish motes just from armor turn in.

Its ridiculously easy man.
Also, Sigil dev lurking in this thread, I think you have a serious risk/reward issue with a certain boss in lower VT. He is one of the boss (or THE boss) of the Vi'rak area: Zaxorthuun the Eradicator. It took us, a group of 5 level 40s, 75 minutes to kill him. What does he drop? A single somor rune, 5 motes, a measily 20 faction, and a retarded quest object that starts a quest that gets you some seriously crappy masks ( http://vg-en.curse-gaming.com/databa...of-abrogation/). Why bother when you can just mindlessly farm coins and get a far superior one from the arena, like ( http://vg-en.curse-gaming.com/databa...hampions-mask/)?
I think whoever coded Zaxorthuun's HP added a couple extra zeros. All the other named in the dungeon take less than 3 minutes to down.
That, and the arena just sucks. Worst risk/reward system in the entire game.

When you go to the place to combine them, can you click it nine times if you have all the armor components with you or would you have to wait?
