Default OK this is a bit weird.

They have Paladin and Dreadknight trainers in the same room in ahgram (and they're very close). If you're a dreadknight and try to train the paladin attacks you. If you're a paladin then the dreadknight trainer attacks you.

Is that on purpose? or just a quick oversight? I see a tombstone there when I run by often enough that I think it's an evil joke played by Sigil

So I have to go to Hathor Zhi.

Oh it is funny. If i was a GM watching someone inch closer and closer to the Dk trainer hoping to not aggro the paladin just to learn new skills only to see right as he gets in range the paladin attacks I suppose I could just get an invis.

Don't confuse a Dreadknight with a Shadowknight. Sigil explained this early on - a Dreadknight would be somebody like Batman, who uses his enemies' fear as a weapon against them. A Dreadknight isn't necessarily an evil person - in fact, they can be a champion of good, as Batman was. They just choose to use different methods than a Paladin.

Thus, while a Paladin would have an obvious distaste for a Dreadknight's methods, he wouldn't necessarily be at odds with the Dreadknight, and they very well could find themselves fighting together for the same cause.

So my guess is that this is a bug. If it's not, and it's intentional, then Sigil must have changed their minds about what a Dreadknight is. heh.. And I think it's pretty funny..

It's just another example of the "challenge" inherent in Vanguard. Whenever you train, just bring a group along to CC or fight off the other trainer as you get your new skills, then run like hell!

QFT.

probably not intended, but the sole fact that it exists is pleasant to know. They should let it as is, or create a script or whatever so that there is a certain thing you must do to avoid getting killed by the opposite trainer.

Maybe it is a faction thing? Your race maybe?

I've trained at the dreadknight trainer in Agrham 3 or 4 times now and have never been attacked by the paladin trainer.

That's like when I was bored at Renton Keep and killed a lvl 1 chicken walking in the road. 3 or 4 seconds later I start getting attacked. I look up to see Razorbeak, a level 12 KOS chicken attacking me.

Must be a rare spawn of the level 1 chickens which must act as PHs.

I like things like that in a game.

Well I'm Kurushasa but have plenty of ahgram faction. Noone else there is KOS. The only thing I can think of is that one paladin NPC is on Khal faction. i'm KOS to Khal still. But it would be weird to have 1 npc on khal faction.

I always find it interesting that the towns let necromancers wander freely...or that you can find a paladin and cleric trainer in the same room with a necro trainer.

Makes me sad...

The dread knight insipers his foes with fear to win

The paladin insipers his allies with hope to win

Its the classic SK vs PALADIN imo

Nice. Now that's a feature worth having. A month or so my WoW guild set up a raid on the Exodar (Draenei home city). The Alliance sent reinforcements and one hell of a fight ensued. I suddenly noticed that two of our healers were getting their asses kicked by a hostile level 60 housecat named Nibblet, just near the entrance to the city. Hilarious. Every game needs a few mobs like these.
