I am trying to set up macros for swapping various instruments to weapons for twisting and on the fly work.

A few patches ago I was able to drag the Instrument from my inventory to hot bar. Clicking on this hot bar would equip the instrument. I made a companion macro to equip my dual weild daggers to return to fighting.

It no longer works.

The instruments when dragged from inventory to hot key will simply not equip.
The weapons are the same, they will not equip or sometimes only the main hand will work.

My current macros I am trying to get to work are as follows.

/wear "Martok Wartempo"
Followed by my Bard Run Song Macro


/wear "Lute"
Followed by my heal song

/wear "Martok Bloodletter"
/wear "Dirty Dagger"

What do you all use that will actually work since my old setup seems to be borked somehow now.

Inventory to paper doll and back all the time is annoying.

I want my macros to work again

A small snippet that should help you though...

Playing a song and wearing a drum

/playsong “Speed Song”
/wear “drum”

This will play the song and put your drum on.

Combat Song macro

/playsong “Combat Song”
/combatform "Careen of Cunning"
/Wear “XYZ Sword” Primaryhand
/Wear “ABC Dagger” Secondaryhand

Note if you have 2 weapons with the same name then leave out the primary and secondary hand and spam the macro 2 times as it is currently bugged with 2 weapons named the same.

Seems to be the key, as well as useing a generic drum vs the name then.

No, don't use generic "drum", use the proper name for whichever one you use.

I use:

/play "My Run Song"
/wear "Watch Drum"

works everytime for me

Be sure that your expertise isn't near max. Weird things can happen if you're close to a 100%.

yup, if you're close to the cap then you might need to do something like:

/remove "Sword of Slaying"
/wear "Watch Drum"
/playsong "selo"
