Ripping my hair out over something stupid...

So finally, I make my first Rare item using Rare ingots... woot! It's not the greatest thing ever, but I'm happy since it's my first.

So I start to upgrade it, I get to the last step, A grade, 600 AP left, and what happens. My internet decides it wants to have a brain fart.

I lose connection, and as soon as I get back to the desktop, the internet's working again. So I log back in, to find that my Rare weapon, Rare Ore, and Gem is gone.



Comcast owe's me an upgraded rare weapon.

Aye the server crashed once when I was crafting a set of 5 Rare Standard Planks (5 Arid Timbers required). Boy was I pissed at losing 10g-15g like that.

Yeah...almost as frustrating as getting killed by a level 3 critter b/c you got up to go feed the toilet monster and your char never went into auto-attack mode.

You can hear yourself getting killed, but you know if you get up to hit the attack button, it's gonna look like you sat in chocolate pudding.

I don't recommend ever doing rare combines in NT. NT is still crashing often enough that it is dangerous. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about your own internet connection dropping.

And I found out the other day that you can craft while dead. Well, you can finish your combine at least. Some guy trained the craft stations in the Deebs while I was making a BP, and I had just used my melee mitigation dust. So, I didn't want to cancel... but I figured it was a mob 6 levels below me. So, if I push to finish the combine quick, I'd have time to kill the mob after the combine.

But, I think the game engine treats a crafter as someone wearing 0AC gear (since we are in are craft gear) and we don't dodge much while crafting. So, the critter took me down, but I was able to finish the combine as a corpse :P
