Default FoH

Why do dev's continue to post there.

Srsly, what kinda good does it do but if you miss 99% of your customers who don't know what FoH is.

It's some guild that noone seems to know, great, who cares.

This is the sole reason I am considering cancelling, I can deal with a lot of things but slapping your customers in the face, no. And that is how I see it.

I'm sorry but the lack of official forums is pretty much doing in my desire to give the company money, not even with how friendly I feel towards the team.

Just my opinion.

Oh come now, every MMO company routinely slaps their customers in the face. Just look at any forum... they do it all the time.

If any given feature of an MMO WASN'T a slap in the face, I'd be alarmed... I'm not even sure I can conceive of such a feature!

(I kid. But seriously, I've seen that expression so many times now it's just inherently hilarious... like if you say a word to yourself over and over.)

FoH is more than just a guild forum these days - it's a pretty widely read forum. The problem here is that FoH doesn't even let a lot of people sign up and post on their website - I know I signed up about 9 months ago and I never got a response and can't login. So I can't provide any feedback to the devs on that site.

I also post a lot of stuff in SV's crafting section - but none of the crafting devs ever read that area. They only read the vanguardcrafters crafting discussion sections.

So basically there are huge segments of affiliated sites that are being ignored, and you need to be "in the know" about which sites are used by which devs.

They should've just had an official forums and bit the bullet on it.

There you go.

http://www.fohguild.org/forums/index.php

It's just another gaming forum, like a billion others. Sigil people post on many of them. Silky Venom, VG Tact, FoH...
Why do they post on the FoH mesage boards when it's not an affiliate site? I'll give you a hint. It's because you won't see that kind of thread there.

I agree, it's relatively annoying and quite disrespectful to their customer base that sigil employees insist on having their discussions on some guild site. A guild site that doesn't allow new signups I might add.

Why does sigil make the good websites jump through hoops to become an affiliate, then go and post on unaffiliated guild site instead?

I'd really like to get involved in some discussions with sigil people about things that could use tweaking in game but it seems impossible.

Every one of you is why I say, EXACTLY I agree 100%. I have to sift through crap to get to the good stuff and I was willing to do that for a couple months to see how it went but no, I'm not willing to do it on the long haul and I find it insulting (and yea i understaand your hilarity at that lol) that Brad posts there and not either here or somewhere that we can all access since NO WE can't respond there.
(in fact I am not even commenting on his post because it was not put on an affiliate so to me it was a post to his good ol boys not to his customers)

It is wrong and it goes against my core. And seriously I can put up with the bugs, the death penalty ups and downs, the exp ups and downs, the strife that goes on here...I can't tolerate how they do the forum thing because that is my source of information and its disrespectful to expect people to sift through loads of chaf to get to the wheat (or is it wheat to get to the chaf lol I dunno!!)

And I personally LIKE the Sigil team, this is just about respect. (and it should go both ways and not ask me and others to read his most important thoughts on FOH or other places that are not EVEN affiliates and we were told that affiliates would be the source, that is bs.....)

I won't even click that link. I think FOH is a cess pool. I am sure there are tons of nice people in there but I don't know them, I don't game with them, why do I have to get my Sigil/Vanguard information from them?

Sigil, Brad...Jeff, respect your customers AND your affiliates.

Post on affiliates or at the least copy and paste what you say on FOH to an affiliate so people can hear it from you and respond TO you.

Actually I should not address that to Jeff...just to Brad and Nino that I know of.
