Default Find a Bug, Win a Title - Contest to Test Fellowships

In an effort to get thorough exposure to the new fellowship system introduced on the Test Server before shipping it off to the live servers, Sigil has announced that the first three individuals who submit reproducible bugs with the system to testing@sigilgames.com will be able to choose their own character title to use on their live server character.

Quote:
Fellowships are a method for you and your friends to gain experience for each other, even when some of you are offline.

Features
- All experience you earn is split amongst the members of the fellowship, even members who are offline.
- When you are in debt or have lost experience, your experience will be devoted to repaying your debt/loss before you resume contributing to the fellowship.
- Fellowships are completely independent from groups; you can be a member of both at the same time.

Limitations
- Fellowships can have a maximum of six members.
- You must be within five levels of every member of the fellowship in order to join.
- You must be within a few meters distance to invite a player to your fellowship.
- If you leave your fellowship or are removed, you may not join another one for four hours of online played time.
- Members who are offline do not receive their experience until they log on. (Be careful when using the system to level up rarely-played characters, as their skills will fall behind, thus they will be very weak for their levels!)

Getting Started
Interested in creating a fellowship? Simply target your friend, right click your defensive target window, and select "Invite to Fellowship." You may then administer the fellowship from the social window (default key 'O') "Fellowship" tab.

The contest starts right now. Good luck!
Source. Now is the time, if any, to fire up a Test Server character if you've been holding off.

Default Fellowships In!

"Here is your chance to win a custom title of your choosing! The fellowship system is now on the Test Server and we would like to invite players to come break it for us. In fact, for the first three reproducible bugs sent to testing@sigilgames.com, the submitting player will get to choose a title for their character on a LIVE server. Chosen titles must be appropriate and in accordance to the naming policy, of course, but other than that – it is all up to you!

Here is a quick overview of the fellowship system to help get you started:

Really bad and an invitation for all commercial char levelers to make big money in VG. In EQ2 this is not allowed and as far as I know even not in WoW.

What a shame.

The fellowships are one of the reason's I started looking into this game. now i can play my main, and not out level my wife as we duo .

The fact is commercial levelers are gunna happen no matter what, im sure they have a way to monitor people who change fellowships often, as the whole point is to stay the same level as your steady group. wait and see i guess

Good news. I know lots were looking for this feature. Nice incentive from Sigil too to make sure it properly tested.

Actually I think this makes Commercial Characters worthless in value and kills any sellers market. There will be SO MANY for sale they will be worth 5 Bucks.

Plus why would the Buyer even pay $5 for it when your Friends can help you along for free and feel good about it! Or like other posters mentioned If you can use this on alts even better!

Why should I have to run thru the same Content everytime I switch classes? And the progression of this games means ALts are out of the Question for casual players.

Why close a thread in the general forum to just divert them to the one in the news section that doesn't get as many views...!? Makes ABSOLUTELY no sense to me.........

I mean - FFS you have ZERO replies so far, and you even commented on a thread that had more replies than the one you started before their thread!?

And if I close a thread just to draw attention to the thread I created, I hope someone draws my attention to how utterly pathetic it is!

There, just for you, I merged the threads. The point is to consolidate, and if I don't have a thread in the news forum, there won't be any news about it and it is pointless to have two threads in different places. I was trying to make a lighthearted joke about it.

Yes This is great! I can finally ensure I stay within the same level range as my GF.

Gift.

Please explain how this makes it quicker to level multiple characters.

So you'd rather cut off your nose to spite your face?

Win a title for finding a bug? Wow, I wish they implemented this earlier I'd have about 10,000 titles racked up.

What a shame.

It wont help the comercail levelers at all. for one the characters have to be in the same level range, meaning each time they get paid to level a character, they have to make a new one to "PL" another, waste of time IMO, they would be better off just leveling the toon they are being paid to level in the first place.

Also, the xp division is straight 50/50 in the case of a duo, 33/33/33 for a trio, ect. so the soloer is getting 50% the xp for killing a mob by himself, and so is the offline character. but he is doing it solo which is SLOWER. again, the commercial leveling service would just be better off playing the toon they are gettin paid to level in the first place.

This feature is geared towards people like me and my wife. I am the stay home dad and i do have a bit more time to play than my wife (not ALL day, mind you, i clean and play with the kiddo a lot, but i log in when he naps at least), but leveling my main is a drawback because we truly enjoy this game together, hell, we met in EQ from 800 miles away. I personally have no interest in making an alt. with fellowships, i can gain xp and not worry so much about leaving my wife behind at all.

This is good news. My friend has always out leveled me in every mmo we have played so this feature is one of the reasons we moved to vanguard. He has had to make an alt and stop playing his main so it doesn't get too far ahead of me and his other regular play partners. now he can go back to his main once we get close to his level.
