i have had issues before with malfitting motherboards and with underpowered PSU... its the main reason why i asked

Yeah... Murphy's law definitely applies. It's happened to me quite a few times... 99 out of 100 things are completely compatible with the spec... but I manage to buy the one that doesn't plug in.

You'll be just fine with what you're thinking of doing. No worries.
