With the news that the 'driving force', a.k.a. Sigil, has left the building and there will be months of staff/product reviews and clean-up of the game, how many of you are going to stay or leave?

I'm having fun with the game, I don't see why I should unsub due to changing of hands. Companies come & go, merge & split, happens everyday. The key is keeping the product going. If they keep improving Vanguard, they got my money.

I told it not to renew but I got six months to begin with, so Merk's around until September 4th or so. Every time I log in, someone wants me to make a boat though, so I keep getting scared off by those people because I just want to diplo.

Funny, it counts the day I activated for beta as the day I first joined Vanguard, so I'm leaving my subscription in just under 1 year. And that doesn't count all the time I spent whoring myself out on the old OVF to try to get in. Gaaahhh, how many years went into this game from so many people?

Oh well, I might resub if anything cool and great happens between now and then. I don't expect many games to last longer than 6 months for me anyway, no matter how great they are.

Nope

I always considered Brad to be one of the most overhyped assbots that was ever associated with MMO's.

So I may not actually play - will see what comes out in the next few days -, but just in case, I am reloading it...

I'm taking a break from Vanguard. News or not, admittedly, I played it far too much!

I'll eventually let it creep back into my life if performance gets better with the game. I'll definitely keep subscribing to show my support. If anything, the artists did a fine job in creating the world of Telon. It is one of the most beautiful MMOs I've ever had the pleasure (and frustration) of playing.

when you come back, mabye the boat prices will be down, so you can be declassified as a reseller

Was it a crime to sell my caravel for 60g to Birgette and my sloop for 20g to Thumpkin (who then tried to sell it for 55g via the broker)? I even gave another sloop away for free. So, not like I was trying to screw anybody. I did though try to sell the sloop on the broker myself for like one day at (I think) 60g just to see if it would sell. It didn't. It made me realize people aren't that stupid. So, again, whats the big deal?

I tried to make some quick gold in the game for myself. I am now currently boatless (shrug).

I cancelled over two months ago. I personally hated the game but since SOE is taking it, I may be keeping my eyes peeled on future news.
