Actually after posting that I checked, and there is a "micro" DD-WRT firmware for the v5+ (2MB Flash) units.
I installed it last night, so it might improve my experience.

Still, for anyone else considering a linksys, I'd go for the v4 units (4MB flash) or v3 (8MB flash - yes they seem to be going backwards!!) - or the WRT54GL

I've heard Good things about the D-Link Gamer Router. Anyone use that? or have opinions on it?

the DD-WRT firmware (and i'm assuming most other alternate firmwares) allow you to do the same as their "GameFuel" technology does, sometimes even better

it also comes with hundreds of pre-made profiles for different games (and other programs, aim, torrents, etc), just like the gamefuel

use it all the time
