Default Hegnerian Defeated.... No update [Add Heroic drop PICs]

So we did the ring event and killed the guardians.

We then proceeded to kill Hegnerian himself. After we killed him, no quest update.

Spores was not usable on any of the named nor Hegnerian himself.

Did get a Core of Ezigoth off him. So Im guessing quest still broken unless someone else has completed.

/Sigh, maybe next patch.

Tsudanosh seems to be the Dev for this area, and all the Gorg/Flor/Ichi areas.

Tsudanosh once you figure out what the problem is, can you please let us know if its a fix that can go in without a "real" patch?

Its awesome that all those NM's and such are up, and we have a new dungeon to explore, but it would suck to have to wait 4-6 weeks for the next full patch for this to be fixed.

Just a heads up, either way would be greatly appreciated.

Default Compare / Contrast

Figured I would be a little more constructive and make a list of things in the encounters on the way to Hegnerian that worked and didn't work so well.

1. The spore in your inventory has no effect on the guards or Hegnerian. Actually when you try to click it, it says "It cannot be used like that". We tried using it on the guards, on the corpses, on Hegnerian, and on his corpse. Always yielding the same result.

2. The guards don't actually guard anything. Once they spawn you can walk in and out of the rooms past them. I would assume that the "blue force field" is supposed to be blocking the entrances to the next room, and until you defeat the guard, the next room is blocked off.

3. The books to spawn the second guardian, we just clicked them in order... Highest book, followed by middle book, then lower book (Elevation wise in the room)

4. Sands of time section. We slowed down time, and killed the teleporting NPC. Don't know if anyone else did this part differently, but I didn't get that feeling inside that it was done correctly. I noticed graphical bugs with the stairs leading down to Hegnerian.

5. I also notice a little electrical ball/orb in the far side of the Sands of time room that we didn't/couldn't interact with.


I am most curious about how other groups handled section 4 and 5. Did everyone do the same thing and just stop time and dps the npc down?

Also, Hegn has a tendency to reset to full health after he does his spell that send you flying around the room.

P.S. Maybe it was easy for others to get past the Minstrel, but that part I found very rewarding. Nice touch lol.

I was surprised to see that Hegnerian drops only 1 core.

And as this core is needed for all 3 factions (so all the serveur), maybe it would be a good idea that Hegnerian drops more than 1 core.

Just a suggestion.

-He can also not drop the core (yesterday evening )

Yeah same for us. Not 100% drop. Would be nice to receive a Core for each member. Needless time sink otherwise.

As of 6/15 we have killed him 4 times. Here is what we tried and still have pending:

1. Went back and dropped the quest, deleted the spore from inventory. Picked up new quest and new spore, but still doesn't work on guards nor Hegnerian himself.

2. Still nothing with the electrical ball/orb in the Sands of time room.

Wish we could get a dev response on this.

Would be nice to have confirmation of bugged event, or told we doing it wrong, or even better yet; ETA on fix.

At this point our guild is farming him several times a day. He does have some interesting drops.

Hegnerian BP (Heavy 744 AC, 35 con, 17 str/dex, 75 hp, +101 melee/spell mit)

Bladesworn has killed him 5 times now on Tharridon; dropped Arch Magus Ring 3 times (of various kinds) + Heoric Caster Leggings x2.

Would like to see the rest of his loot table, as with the Binder (x2 heoric ranged crit+ gloves..L50 rare) and the Phaege (she dropped a heoric heavy L50 tanking belt).

no way.... 1 core for each party member would be for a wussy game~ everyone would get those bp...

actually on 7 kills we got 5 core
1 medium heroic legs for healer (screen on www.quantumfoam.eu)
1 dagger (suck one)
1 heroic caster bp (sorcerer one, with good fire damage)
2 rings (bleah)
1 longsword rare (bleah)
forgot last

the main problem actually is

BP ARE NOT DROPPING

or explain who is "Forever Tree" mentioned in quest (for ichtakhta)
